

Graham Smith Ferguson, 27, of Raleigh, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Graham was a native and lifelong resident of Raleigh. He was born on October 8, 1988. Graham was a 2007 graduate of Broughton High School and a 2011 graduate of East Carolina University.
Graham is survived by his parents Gregory Vernon Ferguson and Teri Smith Ferguson of Raleigh; his brother, Andrew Gregory Ferguson and his wife, Jane Smothers Ferguson of Raleigh; his niece, Elizabeth Jane Ferguson of Raleigh; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In his youth, Graham is best remembered as a standout little league and high school baseball player. He was a member of the North Wake All-Stars that played in the Pony League World Series in Monterey, California. It was during this time that Graham met many of his lifelong friends. Graham will also be remembered by friends and family for his humor, compassion and sensitivity. Most will remember that Graham always brought a smile or laugh to the conversation. Others will remember Graham for his compassionate side. He was a kind soul that befriended many across all walks of life. Graham taught us the importance of kind words and sincere care for friends in need. Although he has left us far too soon, he made an everlasting impression on many lives.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Edenton Street United Methodist Church, 228 West Edenton Street, Raleigh, NC. A private graveside service will precede the services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Graham's memory may be made to Edenton Street United Methodist Church.
