June 8, 1922 -- March 17, 2011
Harold B. Lindberg departed this life Thursday morning March 17, 2011 and began life eternal with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Harold is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edna, daughters Marcia Newkirk, husband Michael, Patricia Ennor, husband Gary, and son Rev. Thomas Lindberg, wife Sandi. Harold is also survived by his sister, Esther Karnitz, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Harold served in the U.S. Army Air Corps for 3 years during WWII stationed on several islands in the South Pacific. After the war, he resumed his career in the hearing aid industry retiring 45 years later. We will miss his always cheerful countenance and ability to befriend anyone he met.
Family will receive friends on Monday morning, March 21, 2011 from 10 AM until 11 AM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Raleigh Memorial Park. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM in the chapel, with Military Honors to follow at the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, Harold would prefer that we send a donation to Teen Challenge (http://www.tcmemphis.org) in Memphis, Tennessee, a men’s drug rehabilitation ministry directed by his grandson Jonathan.
