Dear Mom,

I would love to say, today was hard. I promised myself I wouldn't cry because I know you wouldn't want me to cry but it turns out some promises can't be kept because I cried at least three times about you. I wish I could have told you about life the past year so you could know your panda is perfectly fine. Recently, I am passing school (totally not failing Spanish 1 CP and Human Geo CP😂 hey y'all Shapiros might be good at history but I am crap at it I am amazing at english).  I applied for different classes like Health Science and Law Education I am pretty much a sophomore since I passed Algebra 1 CP and English 1 CP but if I fail other classes I am wasting a credit. I am trying to prevent that right now but I never really do my work because it's so boring!!! I GOT INTO THAT FIREFIGHING PROGRAM!!!!! YESSS MOM!!! I DID IT!!! I HOPE YOU ARE PROUD OF ME!!!! Ummmmmm!!! You have heard from Sissy but Dylan is doing perfectly fine along with Jakey. They both miss you very much. Let's be honest now, I was the favorite child hehe right? haha, I wish I could make you laugh one more time I miss your laugh a lot I have dreams about you sometimes like I am talking to you I wish it was real you told me to look out for Alister and don't get in trouble. Mom I have always questioned why you had to leave i always felt like you left because you didn't love us but it's time God choose for you to leave. Its been a whole year without you. Its kinda hard to believe but i just want you to know we are doing okay. I took ali to see grandma i know u wanted them to met at least once. Alister also saw poppy al's grave. Grandma said she misses you a lot. I miss you a lot. Grandma also had so much fun with ali but he kept running away from her. Hes just not used to her thats all. But after a 2 days he was playing with her and yelling at her. Alister absolutely loved aunt renee and uncle Dennis he has so much fun with them. Grandma and aunt renee and uncle dennis all loved luis also. Its been a really rough year without you with all of alis medical problems. I wish i could have called you and asked you how you dealt with us. Or to just talked to sort my mind out a little with the decisions i made when we were on the hospital for a while. I know you r watching ali tho because i will catch him yelling or babbling while looking up. Im sorry i have a lot to say but i love you💙

Dear Mom,

It's 11:19 am on November 14, 2023. I just turned 16! Every time I would turn an age older you would call me old but I am lowkey starting to feel old ngl (ngl - not gonna lie).  You always made sure to say happy birthday to me and I think that's why I am having such a hard time with it right now I wanna hear your voice again but I know I won't yet I miss it more than ever. I hope you are safe wherever you are (probably watching over Alister). Mommmmm it feels soooo weirdddd being 16!!!  Welp, I am just a freshman that is 16...WHEN I GRADUATE I BE 19😰 but that's a long way from now so let's focus on the present not the future or past! I really wish I could have spent my birthday with everyone in the family like Dad, You, Ariana, Dylan, and Jake just as we were children yet that's too much to ask for because Dylan is 20 and in a different state, Jake is 27 (He's pushing 30 LMFAO!) in a different state too and Ariana is 23 with her own family in a different state, Dad is at home with me and You? You are everywhere all the time like we can never pinpoint you but we know you are there. I miss you and it's pretty obvious I do.

It's 7:04 pm on September 25, 2023. I am currently listening to the song "The Night We Met" by Lord Huron, You probably saying it's a basic song that most teenage girls listen to but this song could bring me to tears if you hear what he is trying to tell you. Maybe you're wondering where it falls into you, Mother but that song represents in my own way that I wish I could go back to days to relive times you were alive like when we would walk to Zadies or you would drag me to the nail salon with you. Another Song -"How Could You Leave Us" by NF: The title tells you. Why did you? Why would you leave us? It's been weighing my mind since you passed and I am tired of hearing it from everyone. I wanted to hear it with your own voice, not Ari's or Jake's. I keep thinking maybe just maybe you are watching over me while I'm writing this and you probably are.  So here's the true feelings after months of bottling it up. No, I am not okay I haven't been even though it has been 5 months and those 5 months dug a hole in my feelings. It's impossible to go through my life with the way I have been doing it like bottling up my feelings. I can't do that with your death it brings a whole ton of self-control plus energy to stop me from crying over you. I know I wasn't the best daughter but I started quoting things you would say to me on sticky notes which I see every day. "I love you panda" "Keep shooting for the stars you will get there" "My beautiful girl you look so pretty" "Hey my sweet girl" "Your perfectly imperfect! You will always be perfect in my eyes" I can go on about how many quotes I have from you. Those quotes help me remember that you are with me. I remember all the advice and all the smiles you gave me when you called me "pretty girl" or "panda" It always made me happy. So Thank you!

Dear Mom,

It's 5:59 pm on September 19, 2023(Which means it's marking 5 months since you passed). You probably wondering why isn't me and you but actually I am here to tell you about my life right now! I am a freshman (9th grader) at HHS and the girl beside me in that picture has been my best friend since the seventh grade in fact she was the friend who really helped me through your death getting me to talk about it or even smile when I didn't know if I could smile. Her name is Lyla and she's very quiet at first but she warms up to you and she talks a ton:) I remember talking to you about her in the 8th grade when I was upset I barely had any classes with her so you told me to switch classes to get her class but Dad said no haha. Do you know the song Reflections by the NBHD? Well in one of the lyrics, It says "Maybe it's a blessing in disguise" It means she seems rude and toxic but she is actually the sweetest human ever.  As you can see I am still wearing the necklace you left me! Yeah, I wear it 24/7 literally...Ask Lyla! She sees me wearing it all the time and I refuse to take it off Haha. She is a blessing I tell her that almost all the time in my own words. She's so gorgeous:) I wanna let you know that I am doing okay and I have someone to be there when I am not.

Hi Mom, 

It's 8:10 pm on August 18, 2023. Tomorrow officially be four months since we lost you. In these past four months, I have had so much to tell you and fill you on about but I am hoping you can hear my voice at night I talk to you (well I talk to my ceiling). It's impossible starting a new chapter of my life knowing it will be without you and it breaks my heart that you won't be able to see me accomplish my goals. Four months without you feel like yesterday afternoon I just heard about you passing away. Mom...I got reminded of you twice today! I realize this person had ocean-blue eyes after knowing them for a couple of months and I met a new friend whose middle name is Lynn. I am hoping you're watching over me and as childish as it sounds I am wearing the necklace you kept with your engagement ring on it! Brings me to know if I have something that you wore when you were alive you are beside me on days I really need my mommy. I miss you you probably hear me talk about you to others but the only person I ever actually admitted I miss you was the person with the ocean-blue eyes.  so I will say it right now and here okay? 

Momma, I miss you every second of the day and I wish I could go back in time to apologize for everything I have done to you. I wanna be able to tell you about my day or how I feel again but knowing you aren't a text/phone call away breaks me slowly. I love you and I am sorry for not telling you that every chance I got. It's August 12 2023, It's 4:07 pm and I have so much to tell you. Nothing has been the same since you passed away and I keep re-reading old emails between me and you or looking at pictures of us but I really wanted to call you when I got my high school schedule. I keep pretending everything is okay...it isn't easy pretending. I am trying to hold it inside because I don't want to cry! I know you wouldn't want me to cry but it isn't getting easier by holding everything inside like I always do. I am sorry for everything I have ever done to you either I was mad or upset, I really wanna say thank you for giving me the worlds best siblings! You gave me an older brother who constantly makes me laugh or makes me feel safe by him being around me/calling me, You gave me an older sister who is kinda confusing but without her, I would be so locked up in this world because she has been with me every step of the way since you have passed...I know I have gotten on her nerves but when I do she just laughs it off or records me doing something that isn't even funny...(COUGH WHEN I GOT STUCK IN YOUR CAR SEAT OR WHEN I FELL OUT OF YOUR CAR BY ACCIDENT COUGH!) She also enjoys pushing on my bruises and common she is my forever best friend. I love you sissy. then you gave me another older brother who followed the path of Poppy Al, SAILOR COLMENARESSS AYYYEEEE! He is so so cool!!!! He is being Dylan that's for sure. I am proud of him.  Without them in my life, everything would be so difficult in life. I couldn't imagine my life without my siblings even though half the time we argue or give each other the worst headaches in the world (I am talking about Jake and Dylan doing stupid things together...). I wish you were here so I could talk to you a lot has been going on. I wanted you to see that ur Mr sweet face has a tooth now and look at how big his smile is. I know you loved seeing videos of him swimming and playing in the water bc it reminded you of Dylan, Miranda and I.  Alister hears about you every single day from everyone. It’s been 3 months since you’ve passed and it still hasn’t gotten any easier. Everyday I find myself thinking about you or something funny you did. Mom the last 3 months have been hell. Dear Mom, 
It’s been really hard without you let me tell you. Considering I spoke to you the night before you died. I know I wasn’t the easiest on you mom I made things really hard for you. But I know you loved me so much and I loved you. When I found out I was pregnant, you weren’t to happy with me about it. But some time passed and you grew to accept the idea. I remember when you called me to apologize to me about getting mad and you wanted to be in Alister’s life. I called you back and told you that I wasn’t making a relationship with you because I wanted to be in your life I was doing it for my son because I believe he deserved to know his grandmother. But I lied to be honest I don’t think I did it for him I think I did it for me because pregnancy is something when you needed you mom. Mom I needed you more than ever I was so scared to be a mom and be responsible for baby. I just needed my mom. I wish you weren’t so stubborn and came up when I had Alister so you could have seen him. It kills me that you only saw your Mr sweet face on FaceTime and through pictures. You were so proud to be a grandmother. And it took some time but Alister warmed you to you and got so excited to see you over FT. I know Alister definitely misses you. Even though he’s little he can feel it. I hope your watching over him and protecting him and helping him grow and showing him what I can’t. I really wish you were here. I wish I could have seen you at Alister’s first birthday like we were planing at your house. I just really wish you could be here. Even though we had ups and downs mom I do love you so much. Just watch Alister grow up I know that’s what you wanted. Him to be strong and independent and I will make sure he is.

Dear Mom, 

Some time has passed since you’ve been gone. And I’m still not ok. I miss you so much. I miss making fun of you and you saying something stupid back. I miss seeing you dancing in the kitchen or dancing in the car to Kid Rock. But Mom you remember when this picture was taken.  I had just landed in NC to see you and the kids for Christmas. And you had all these plans like going to Henry’s or Publix. We loved their sandwiches lol. I remember getting so much Clemson stuff because you made it a point because you knew I love them. Mom you made me an Islanders fan. There’s so much you left me with and try to carry on in your name. We may have not been the closest my whole life. But you were my first best friend. Regardless of our issues no one will ever understand the bond we had. And i will forever cherish that. You remember the day you gave me Oscar? I was 4 years old and I feel in love with the stuff animal on your dashboard. And you knew so you gave it to me and I took it everywhere. I even slept with it. Mom I love you and miss you so much. And I have the memories but it’s not the same I miss your voice. I hope you know I’ll always be thinking of you.

Back when I was 12, I remember asking you what was the differences between a real smile and a fake smile. It took some time to understand what you told me and I fully understood after 3 years. A real smile is something that gets you happy even in the darkest moments but a fake smile is a show for people not to worry nor see what you are going through.  I miss you, Mommy. I miss seeing your smile, I miss hearing your laugh, I miss seeing you, I miss knowing you were one phone call away, I miss you so much and it hurts knowing you're actually gone. I wish I had one more phone call with you to tell you how I felt and I love you. You were always telling me that it's okay to be afraid and when you lose someone you are close with it takes a piece of your heart. I am afraid to start a new chapter without you knowing you're not there for holding my hand or smiling at me like everything is okay. It's now saying that nothing is okay. Nothing is the same without you.  Are you happy to know that I am gonna be a freshman soon!!!! I will a ram!! Finally!!!! I am gonna be in the Class of 2027.  Guess what Mommy? I am getting better at Photography so I might be a Photographer when I grow up like you said I have an eye for a camera like Pa! I am deciding if that should be my side job or if I should be a Firefighter/EMT. It's hard but I have time. I wanna help people like you did as a nurse. You inspired me, Mommy!!! Jay honey how are you I pray your doing ok nobody can reach you.  I was sent this pic by Heather God bless her. She adored you and your son and it broke her heart when he left she wanted him back at all costs he's with you I hope she's home with you where she belongs with the two men who she loved so hard and so much. I still can't believe she is gone. Jason please I beg you do not hurt yourself anymore Heather is with you that's why you cry daily feel sick or won't eat . Remember you have Tyler and heather loved Tyler more then her own that's all she spoke about was you or your son that how much you ment to her. Trub❣️ I Kno Jay'money your heart is broken but we are all here for you. Remember Heather lived her life for you then tyler. Nobody not even her bloodline could come between the love she had for the both of you, But Jay You were her world! I know you feel you don't deserve to be living it should've been you! God does things we can never understand maybe the hurt and pain she carried around from her own family was the nail in the coffin. It makes you furious and I'm sure there's alot of hate but ball up all them feelings shove them way down and live she want you to live she has never left you and heather is still with you everyday. 

Miss you on Mothers Day is not the same without you . For the past 4 years you were with us forgotten by ones who all the sudden want to now show they care or loved you. Conversations are not lost nor forsaken neither is all the holidays that went by and all you had was dad or myself.  You can't just  pick up the pieces and act as if you were there in her life.

Hey Mommy, It's your Panda. I wanna say I miss you like I really miss you and it hurts knowing you aren't here with me to see me go to my first dance or see me move on to high school. I am starting a new chapter of my life and it's not fair because I am starting one without you. I remember you always saying I love you and it was always "I love you to the moon and back" When I hear that phrase from you it always makes me feel so loved. I know you weren't the most perfect mother but you were still my mother (technically Ariana and Dylan, Jacob).  I wanna let you know that we are okay. We know that you probably watching over each one of us, Ariana: Watching your little AJ growing up or Ariana becoming a mother. Jake: Moving forward with his life and being the greatest big brother ever. Dylan: See him become a proud sailor or watch him help people like you were at Duke University Hospital. Miranda: Watching me figure out who I need to be or go on to college. We love you Mom....I love you Mom to the moon and back. 

The late Vday suprise of 2019 I showed up at UNC unexpected.. How happy you were to see me then to suprise dad I was down. Great memories with you that forever lives in my broken 💔. I love you Heather / mom . You were always there and made that time special for me. I miss you so much NC is  gone but your soul is throughout!

What a great day I had out with my two best friends and parents one is gone forever within my heart 💔 The other is within there own struggles to maintain and hold on. I could easily loose both of you and that cannot happen at any cost. I love Mom Heather and Dad Jason.
