

Jackson “Jack” L. Coble, Jr., 60, passed away Thursday, Janu¬ary 12, 2012 at Rex Hospital. He was born on Feb¬ruary 16, 1951 at Rex Hospital to Jack and Be¬tsey Paul Coble. Jack attended Broughton High School, The Uni¬versity of South Carolina where he played foot¬ball and The University of Ala¬bama in Birmingham. He mar¬ried Laura “Lori” Harshbarger on June 9, 1990 in Raleigh. He was employed with John S. Clark Construction Company as a construction engineer.
Surviving are his wife, Lori; the children, Jacob L. Coble of Charlotte; Elizabeth Otwell of Bethesda, Maryland; Dwight W. Otwell (Karen) and granddaugh¬ter, Elizabeth of Cary; mother, Betsey Paul Coble; brother, Paul Y. Coble (Connie); sister, Coral C. Stevens (Hal), all of Raleigh; best friend, Randy Stewart. He was predeceased by his father, Jackson L. Coble, Sr.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Janu¬ary 15, 2012 at Hayes Barton Baptist Church, 1800 Glenwood Ave. The family will receive friends in the church parlor im-mediately after the service. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
