

Born in Mecklenburg County, Mrs. Caudle was the daughter of the late Joe and Ethel Butler. She was a member of Hayes Barton Baptist Church in Raleigh. Jackie was the beloved wife of 76 years to her husband Bob. She always made time for friends and family. Whether she was playing Bridge online with people all over the world, Bingo with her friends at Capitol Oaks, card games and dominoes with her grandchildren, or visiting the beach with her family, she was a blessing to those around her. Her kindness and sense of humor endeared her to everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband, Bob R. Caudle; three children, Michael Caudle and wife Mary of Maryville, TN, Bob Caudle and wife Susan of New Bern, and Lisa Caudle, of Raleigh; two sisters, Jean B. Jones of Cookeville, TN, and Josephine B. Earp of Monroe; grandchildren, Robert Caudle (Kristi), Cate Smith (Mark), Joe Caudle (Micah), Lori Caudle (Jeremy), Mary Walker (Brad), David Caudle (Anna), Carrie Barnhart (Thomas), Sarah Moore (Arieana), Rachel Talley (Micah), Abby Moore, Lauren McMinn, and Chris McMinn; sixteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and her dedicated caregivers including LaTonya Winfield.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sara Alice Butler Mullis.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 8, at Hayes Barton Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. David J. Hailey.
