

Jim was born September 25, 1922 in Lamar, SC to the late Charles and Larelle Sineath, and grew up in Timmonsville, SC. Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Marie Umstead Sineath.
Jim was awarded a bronze star with the Army 351st Infantry, Company A, during WW II. He later moved to Raleigh where he was Assistant General Manager of Flue-Cured Tobacco Cooperative Stabilization Corporation.
Jim is survived by his wife, Ellen Sineath, of the home, brother, Wesley Sineath of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is also survived by his children: son, James Sineath Jr and wife, Debbie of Raleigh; son, Chuck Sineath and wife, Susan of Boca Grande, FL; and daughter, Ann Perez and husband, Kevin, of Raleigh; along with 7 grandchildren: Bow and wife, Shelly Sineath; Larissa Willoughby and husband, Brad; Katia, Alexandra and Max Sineath, and Charlie and Maria Perez.
A Memorial Service will be held at Springmoor Retirement Community Auditorium on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at 2 PM. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 pm Sunday in Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh.
