Our prayers and thoughts are with Aunt Ruth and the entire family.  My mother, Hazel, lost a dear brother and regrets she was not well enough to travel to join the family.  She spent a great deal of Monday remembering Uncle Bud and sharing stories from their youth.  She said he was the older brother who watched out for her and would "never turn her down" when she asked for a nickel for a soda or temporary housing while she and Dad were getting on their feet.  These are merely glimpses into the character of Jessie Gray Ball.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Ruth and Family - Bud was a great neighbor and friend to my parents in their time of need. He was always there when he was needed. My God Bless your family.

As I was the oldest daughter of Charles and Hazel Kohlbecker, I remember Uncle Bud well.  Always dignified yet fun-loving, he was respected and loved by everyone he touched.  Thoughts and prayers to the entire Ball family.  Rose Hileman, Rio Rancho, NM

Brenda, Caleb and I were so sorry to hear about your Dad. We remember him well, his smile will be with us forever. We are sorry for the grief you feel now, we know you realize he is with his Lord and Savior,and is well now. Love you and all the family.

I have very fond memories of Uncle Bud. Years ago my Mom and I drove from Illinois to visit Grandma and stayed a week with Uncle Bud and Aunt Ruth.  Uncle Bud spent the entire week teasing me just as  Grandpa always did. He couldn't get over the fact that I was trying to suntan in 60 degree weather -  what did he expect after a winter in Illinois!

My youngest daughter just asked me if she had ever met Uncle Bud... sadly, I said no, but you would have loved him. He was a kind, gentle, caring man who I am lucky to have known.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Aunt Ruth and the entire family.

There are really no words to let you know how sorry I am for your loss. I will always remember Mr. Ball with a Large Grin on his face and that bounce in his walk when he would come to the office to see Brenda.  You could always count on him to give you a laugh and pat you on the back with an encouraging word. I vaugly remember the 1st time we met and I tried to call him Mr. Ball and he said my name is "BUD and I am Brenda's father".  He talked of Ruth and of his childern and grandchildren often and you could tell by the glow on his face he was a loyal husband, dad and grandfather. Uncle Bud was a fine representative of our heritage. My mother has always spoken very fondly of her brother. A few years ago when the three sisters got together at a Florida Beach, Uncle Bud surprised them with a visit that produced not only great conversation but also a wonderful photograph of the four siblings. That magical reunion is an event I will never forget.

Randy:  Larry and I are so sorry to hear that you have lost your dear Father.  He was such a fine man and we enjoyed knowing him.  May all of your precious memories of him and with him comfort you.
