He worked in the construction industry, eventually owning his own business in North Carolina.
He loved all kinds of sports and was an avid viewer of tennis and basketball. He enjoyed playing with his kids, and spending time with his friends, but mostly he loved to throw darts with his dart team.
John is preceded in death by his parents, aunts, several uncles and a nephew.
John is survived by his wife, Gwen; daughters, Melanie and Bailie; his brother, Bobby; and his Uncle Denny.
