That cute little old man who wowed everyone on the golf course left his beloved family and friends for heaven. Joseph Michael Ficarra Jr. was born in New York City on November 22, 1920 and died at his home in Raleigh on September 24, 2010.
He loved his family and his golf; and was on the course and loving it at every opportunity. He shot an impressive round on his favorite course just last week.
He leaves his beloved wife of 64 years, Sarah, and his daughters, Sandra Eismann and her husband Roy, JoAnne Davis Liesegang and her husband Wayne, and Francine Tustin and her husband Bruce. Also mourning his passing are 8 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 1, 2010 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 11401 Leesville Road, Raleigh.
