

Mrs. Juanita King Capps, 97, passed away Monday morning, May 30th, 2011 at Countryside Village in Stokesdale, NC. Originally a native of Raleigh, NC, she was the daughter of Ernest Arthur and Viola Baker King. She was married to Reverend Calvin L. Capps (predeceased) and served faithfully alongside him in Southern Baptist Churches in Louisiana, Tennessee and North Carolina for over 30 years.
Visitation will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday June 2nd, at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh NC, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Raleigh Memorial Park.
Surviving are her three sons, William L. Warren (Anne) of Raleigh, Timothy T. Capps (Nancy) of Louisville, KY and Donald L. Capps (Kathy) of Greensboro; six grandchildren Anita Heath, Phil (Jill) and John (Melanie) Warren, Meredith, Hannah and Josiah Capps; her three great grandchildren Will Heath, David and Brandon Warren; her two sisters Hazel K. Sweat and Myrtle Claire Sears (Raymond), one brother Bruce A. King (Gerry) and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, her sister Rebecca K, Simpson and two brothers Leyburn B. and Weldon H. King.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made in her honor to the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, 205 Convention Drive, Cary NC 27511, to be used for foreign missions.
