Judy Hall Barton

Judy Hall Barton, 80, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the oldest of five siblings, born on September 20, 1935 in Rockingham Co., NC to the late Charlie Hall, Sr. and Inez Moseley Hall.

Judy will be remembered for her fierce love of family, especially her children and grandchildren. Her heart's desire was to be constantly around loved ones, and most of her conversations ended with, "Come see me!" Judy was feisty, commanding presence in any room. She enjoyed tennis and was an avid golfer. As family, we are saddened for our loss, but thrilled she is eternally in the presence of Jesus, as well as several members of her family who have gone before her.

She is survived by her children; Lennie Barton and wife, JJ, Lee Barton and wife, LeighAnn, and Shelley Barton Dupree, brother, Danny Hall and wife, Sue, sister Skippy Carter and husband, Wade, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh. The family will receive guests immediately following the service. Inurnment will take place on Saturday after Raleigh services at Providence Baptist Church, 984 Eden Rd., Stoneville, NC. The family will receive guests at 5:00 p.m. at Boone-Cooke Funeral Home, 7671 NC 770 West, Eden, NC.
