I am deeply saddened by Katie's passing.  May the grace of God embrace her and bring His peace and comfort to her family.

I admired Katie my entire life. She had a beautiful, loving spirit and was kind to everyone. She was smart, witty, had a great sense of humor and was very generous. The 2 photos I loved most were of her as a teenager with the horses Mom and Dad bought back then; one she was standing on 'Tweetles' and the other, she was on 'Ragmop', while that horse was standing as straight up as possible under the big oak tree. She had a great laugh. Once when Mom was still living she came to stay over and she, Patrick and I stayed up late talking. We got her laughing really hard until she cried - tears of joy. I loved making her laugh. She was as kind and sweet as you could ever hope for in a person or sister. She was very understanding and supportive of me during the most challenging times of my life. Her unconditional love and support meant more to me than anything. Her understanding was a life saver. I will forever miss her. Because she was so close to God, I know that she is at peace. It was my privilege to know Katie from the coffee shop where she always had such a sweet smile for everyone. I'll miss her but am happy for her knowing that she's with her heavenly Father now!

What a shock!  I know it is for you as well.  Praise the Lord, Katie knew Jesus as her Savior and Lord, for that is where she is in spirit now.  I shall truly miss her smiling face in the sanctuary of CCG, but know she is praising the Lord where she has always wanted to be. Katie was a sweet, gentle, loyal soul.  We shared when I participated in the Cary Church of God Beth Moore Esther study this spring.  Marty and I are so saddened at her loss.  Wayne and family, know Marty and I are praying for you and did so today at lunch.  Katie and I shared about her teaching experiences and I can only imagine how blessed those kids were to have her as a teacher.  May God the Holy Spirit comfort you in this loss.

I am so sorry about the loss of your Katie. I really did enjoy the chats she and I had at "New World". We know that because she was a believer she is in the loving arms of "Our Lord". My prayers are with you and your family.

We did not know you nearly long enough. Always such a quiet and inspiring person. My kids loved you a lot and we always enjoyed talking of the Lord Jesus who you see now face to face. To Wayne and your children our hearts cry out and we are so sorry for  your loss right now.

I loved spending time at the farm when I was young.  Katie always helped with the horses since I was a "city girl" and didn't know everything about them.  But Katie always had a kind word and smile. May God bless you and your family in this time of loss.  Katie and all her siblings were our favorite "first cousins" and our closest playmates.  Spending time with them on the farm was always a treat.  We always felt welcome because Aunt Swettie always made room for "one more".  Katie was special, very special, as I'm sure you all know.

When Andrea and I came to say bye bye to your mama, Sweetie, I could not help but see the view of u, as a daughter of my favorite reletive...Sweetie.
U seemed so surprised by our never ending love to your mama, and at this time all I could think about was that you were named after my mama.  You were my play mate with Shawsey, and 
David, we all played.
Margy was a baby, and Joey was also.
You were in-between.
I will always remember.
