When I think of Katy, I don't have a specific event or memory.  Instead, I am reminded of family events at our grandparents' home in Ohio. Our families would gather a couple times each year.  In summer months, the older cousins (me, Judy, Katy, and Bruce)  would be on the back porch shucking corn and talking while the little ones were running around as they do.  The mothers and aunts would be fixing dinner in my grandmother's 20s-era kitchen and the dads and uncles were in the parlor telling lies and war stories (all our dads were in WWII and Papa was in WWI).
I am now get-offa-my-lawn years old and while I know you can't go home again, it is good to remember those time.  I am so happy that Katy is a part of those memories.
