Ken was preceded in death by his parents, William “Red” and Catherine King of Covington, VA, and his sister, Carol.
After graduating from the University of Colorado, he spent 30 years of his career with IBM.
He is survived by his wife, Gertraude; his three children, Stephen (Stephanie), Kimberley, and Rodney (Shannon); and four grandchildren, Lucas, Alex, Hannah, and Andy.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date with close family and friends. Mitchell Funeral Home at Raleigh Memorial Park is assisting the family.
