Born on April 14, 1967 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and raised in North Carolina, she was the daughter of Dr. James and Pat Crocker, of Pendleton, NC. She attended Wingate University, where she graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. After working with the North Carolina Electric Cooperative, she found her work passion when she joined the Capital City Club as the Membership Coordinator.
Kim was a member of Trinity Baptist church in Raleigh. To know her was to love her, as she had an infectious spirit, laugh and smile. She had a way of putting others at ease, making everyone feel special and important as only Kim could do.
Kim’s family was her pride and joy, loving them unconditionally! Spending time with family was her favorite thing to do, and if it was at the beach, even better. She is survived by her husband, William Reese Briley, and daughter Lindsey Louise Almond, both of Raleigh, NC; parents James and Pat Crocker; her sister Pam and husband Garren (Emily and Olivia); and sister Cindy and husband Todd (Will and Grace).
Kim’s family would like to thank the many remarkable caregivers who served her. Thank you to the Cancer Center of Rex hospital, and the Transition Hospice team of Wake County. A very Special thanks goes to her loving neighbors and close friends who loved, supported and ministered to her throughout this journey.
Kim’s homecoming celebration at Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks Rd., Raleigh on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
