Marta Sonia Arce Lobo

Marta was the daughter of Andrés and Felicia Arce. She spent her life dedicated to her family and devotion to her faith. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, unwavering strength and her passion for gardening.

As a mother, Marta was our family’s pillar of strength and who taught us respect, understanding, humility and kindness. And by example, how to support family as well as others in need. She showed us what unconditional love truly means.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Luis Gerardo “Jerry” Lobo; son, José “Roberto” Lobo and grandson, Marcos Antonio Lobo.

She is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Luis G and Debbie Lobo, Carlos A and Cindy Lobo, Mark A Lobo and Martha Y Lobo; and her cherished grandchildren, Britney M Lobo, Thomas Blue, Jose “Andrés” Lobo, Felicia M Lobo, Alexandria P Lobo, Gabriella M Lobo, Natalia A Lobo and Andrés A Lobo. She will also be deeply missed by her sister, Cecilia Arce; and extended family and a wide circle of friends here and in Costa Rica.

A celebration of her remarkable life will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 200 Hillsborough St., Raleigh NC, on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 10:00am. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, at 9:00am.
