Louise was a creative spirit who never tired of making things. As an artist and educator, she taught art in Parchment Elementary schools for 25 years. In her younger years, she majored in fashion merchandising at Oklahoma University, was an excellent seamstress, and drew fashion illustrations for Rothschild’s for the Oklahoma City newspaper. Louise later returned to school at Western Michigan University for a BFA in painting. Louise was an incredibly talented artist. Throughout her life, she created beautiful hand painted china, wonderful abstract watercolors, and filled numerous sketchbooks with detailed drawings inspired by animals and nature.
Louise was a loving and devoted older sister who was like a second mother for her younger siblings.
She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Sharon Norahs and survived by siblings John Hobbs, Paul Hobbs, Jane Hopson, and Charles Hobbs.
She was a loving and caring mother to her son Joseph Assenzo and daughter Teresa Assenzo, who also survive her.
A memorial service will be held at a later date due to the COVID 19 virus. Her interment will be held also at a later date at Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City, OK.
