Mary Cochran died unexpectedly and tragically on December 6, 2014 in Carolina Beach with her dog Lady by her side. A service in celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, December 11, at 3:00pm at Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mary was born on December 27, 1941 in Chicago, IL. She moved to Manitoba, Canada as a child. She resided in Canada until 2011, when she moved to North Carolina to be near her daughter, Beth and her family.
She is survived by her daughter Beth, surrogate daughter Joy Frankoff and surrogate grandchildren Seth and his wife, Bess, Ryne and his girlfriend Emily, and Mary’s sister Gloria Boulet. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra, who died at age 18. Mary was a gentle, caring person and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
