Mary is survived by her children, Cathey Kale Andrews, and her husband, Jay, of Raleigh, David Lewis Kale, and his wife, Celia Pistolis, of Chapel Hill; grandchildren, Sarah Andrews (Miquel Torres M.), Rebecca Linenger (Aryn), Mary Hamrick (Geoffrey), Michael Kale (fiance, Betsy Pierce), and Daniel Kale (Irina Conc); ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn.
A funeral service for Mary was held Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612. Officiating was Dr. Mark White, Senior Pastor of Forest Hills Baptist Church. A graveside service was Thursday, August 11, 2022 in Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to High Point Baptist Church, or to Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
