Millie Myrick, age 87, entered the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2025. From Randolph County near Greensboro, NC, Millie came to her beloved Raleigh in 1965, where she worked faithfully for AT&T for thirty-five years.
Millie displayed a wonderful personality. She lived an organized, deliberate life. She was thoughtful, gracious and generous. She was driven and independent. She was earnest, purposeful, and diligent in all she did. She was an avid bridge player, and she knew how to appreciate sweets.
A devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Raleigh, Millie truly treated her church as her family. She will be missed.
A Graveside Service to celebrate Millie’s life was held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Raleigh Memorial Park (7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612) with Pastor Josh Scally officiating.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James “Jim” Allen Myrick and his wife Earnestine Myrick, and her parents, Allen and Etta Myrick. She is survived by her cousin, Mary Sue Stewart of Raleigh.
The passing of Millie Myrick brings sadness but not without hope. Though “absent from the body” she is “present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8).
John 11:25–26
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
