Noel was a good man who loved his family. He was patient, kind and faithful. He was a Captain in the Army, and went on to work for IBM for 30 years. Noel enjoyed his work but enjoyed his retirement more. Over the years he volunteered for the Red Cross, helped build sets at the Raleigh Little Theater, became a woodworker of fine items, and an active member of the Corvette Club and the CAP (Citizens Assisting Police) in Cary.
Noel was a huge Green Bay Packers fan and passed that enthusiasm to his family who survives him: his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth; son Jonathan and his wife Stacy and granddaughter Chelsea; and son Christopher and wife Karen and grandchildren Julia and Luke. He is also survived by his brother Cliff and many wonderful cousins.
Rather than flowers if one cares to make a memorial gift, Noel supported the American Red Cross, Wounded Warriors, and Tunnels to Towers.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 17 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Raleigh, NC (Livestream available: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-omHEVBZie4). Family will have private burial services on Wednesday.
