

Paul Leon Greer, 79, passed away, in perfect peace, on November 2, 2012. “I am a child of the King, Blood Bought and Heaven Bound.” He was born on May 28, 1933, in Huntington, West Virginia son of the late Virgil and Elizabeth Greer of Proctorville, OH.
Paul graduated from Farland High School in Proctorville, OH. He was a music major at Marshall University, where he played trumpet in the band and was a pitcher for the Marshall Baseball team. Paul served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for Philadelphia Life and Colonial Life and Accident Insurance Company. After retirement, Paul started a business where he continued his passion for golf and became well known as a custom club specialist. His business, “Clubs n Balls” operated at Capital Golf Center in Raleigh, NC
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Janie May Greer, of Raleigh, and their son, Andrew Paul Greer, of Chapel Hill, NC, son, Michael Greer and wife Kathy of Athens, AL, and daughter, Paula Kimberly Alexander of Tampa, FL and their mother, Loretta Gale Rogers, of Tampa, FL. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Terry Lee (Carla), Maureen, Brandi (Jarett), Sheena and by his 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Terry Alan Greer.
Services will be on Monday, November 5, 2012, at 2:00 pm in the Mausoleum Chapel at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.
