Mr. Daniel was born March 13, 1942, the son of the late Mamie Beatrice Walker and James Bryant Daniel. He was raised in Guilford County, and began working on the family farm at a very young age. He enjoyed golfing and NASCAR, but his passion was gardening – he planted everything. He loved to feed all the birds that frequented his birdhouses. Mr. Daniel was a longtime member of Ebenezer Community Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC and recently Flat Rock Baptist Church in Louisburg, NC.
Ralph is survived by his daughters, Kelli Yates, and her husband, Jason E. Yates, of Youngsville, NC, Kim Taylor, and her husband, Charles D. Taylor, of Wake Forest, NC; grandchildren, Marissa Yates, Brandon Taylor, Alex Taylor; great grandchildren, Addie Taylor, Peyton Taylor, Avery Taylor; brothers, Paul Daniel, and his wife, Brenda, of Durham, NC, Tommy Daniel, and his wife, Cheryl, of Greensboro, NC; and his sister, Henrietta Dean, and her husband, Dale, of Greensboro, NC.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Willie Marie Daniel, and his siblings, Monroe Daniel, Carrie Pegram, Jimmy Daniel, and Shirley Seagroves.
The Daniel family would like to thank the entire care team at Liberty Hospice for all of their loving, compassionate care of Ralph.
A Funeral Service was held in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 with burial following in Raleigh Memorial Park.
