Rebecca Jones Massey

Rebecca (Becky) Jones Massey was here one minute and then suddenly in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived her life as a testimony of her immense love for Him and was unashamed to share her faith with anyone who would allow her to do so. She was a faithful member of North Ridge Bible Chapel for many years. A native of Raleigh, Becky was a 1956 graduate of Broughton High School and worked for many years with several of Raleigh’s ladies clothing stores and most recently at the North Carolina legislature. She was an untiring friend of many with a big heart, always on the go, tending to the needs of others.

She was the daughter of Percy and Lama Jones (deceased), the wife of Harry C. Massey, Jr. who survives her, the blessed Mother of Karen Hefferman (Jeff), the loving Grandmother of Chloe and Joy Hefferman of Charlotte, N.C. the sister of Virginia Schafer of Winston Salem, N. C., and survived by many aunts, cousins and numerous friends who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be Monday, August 21st from 6-8 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday August 22nd at North Ridge Bible Chapel, 7100 Harps Mill Rd. Raleigh, N. C.

Flowers are welcome but memorial contributions to Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, where her granddaughter Joy was treated, are encouraged.
