Ruby Gail Golden

Born on May 31, 1942, in Birmingham, Alabama, Gail spent her early years there. She served as a secretary for Gwinnett County Schools in Georgia for approximately 20 years. In 1998, Gail and her husband John relocated to Castle Rock, Colorado, for John's career with Raytheon. While in Colorado, Gail attended real estate school and earned her license as a Real Estate Broker. She then worked for Village Homes, a new home builder, for 10 years, thriving and finding great enjoyment in her career amid Colorado's booming real estate market.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mildred DeVine of Birmingham, AL; her son Craig Golden of Suwanee, GA; her brothers Gene DeVine of Birmingham, AL, and Doug DeVine and his wife Patricia of Austin, TX.

She is survived by her devoted husband of more than 63 years, John; her son Cory Golden and his wife Amber of Holly Springs, NC, her daughter-in-law Elena Golden of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, grandsons Benjamin Golden and his wife Charleny of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and Austin Golden and his wife Sarah of Highlands Ranch, CO; her granddaughters Grace and Ava Golden of Holly Springs, NC; and her great-grandchildren Caroline, Annelise and Hudson Golden.

Family and friends are warmly invited to gather for visitation from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Mitchell Funeral Home, located at 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Dr. Al Potter. Interment will follow in Raleigh Memorial Park.

Following the interment, all guests are invited back to Mitchell Funeral Home for a reception.
