Sherry Pfeffer Cabot

Sherry worked in an administrative capacity for a number of years in Massachusetts, Virginia and Texas. She moved to North Carolina in 2001 to be closer to her family. She loved gardening, bird watching and enjoyed the outdoors.

She had a genuine curiosity of many things and loved the Boston Red Sox, her pets and neighbors and her grandchildren, of whom she was very proud. She loved keeping up with the lives of her family via pictures despite her love/hate relationship with her iPad and computer technology in general. She loved reading as well. Sherry had enormous strength and confidence in her ability to carry on after the death of her husband in 2009. She was an amazing mother and friend who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by daughter Deanna Cabot Poe of Rockville, MD and her husband David, daughter Kim Armstrong of Apex, NC and her husband Tom, and son Sean Cabot of Wake Forest, his wife Terri and their three children, Peyton, Sarah and Connor Cabot. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Pfeffer of Norfolk, MA.

Organizations close to Sherry's heart were Saving Grace in Raleigh, Meals on Wheels and Transitions LifeCare of Raleigh. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to any of the above organizations.
