Teresa Thompson Strehle, 65, passed away on January 11, 2016. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Teresa never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to everyone. Her strong Baptist religious faith presented itself with her kind words and actions. She enjoyed her volunteer work at Abbotswood at Stonehenge of Raleigh calling out BINGO once a week. Teresa loved her time there with the residents.
Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Frank Strehle, Jr., daughter, Jennifer Stowe and husband, Joshua, son, Brent Kennedy, mother, Sue Brown, sister, Carolyn Thompson, brother, Johnny Thompson, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Johnny Thompson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh. A graveside service will take place at 12 noon at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh with a reception to immediately follow back at Mitchell Funeral Home.
