She was born in Durham, NC and graduated from Durham High School. Teresa had a long and successful career as a statistician and manager at the National Center for Health Statistics in the Research Triangle Park. She loved to travel and work in the garden and was very active in both her faith group and ladies’ stock club. She was a beloved wife and mother, and she doted on her rescue dogs.
Preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Alma McCaffrey, and her husband Philip of 51 years.
She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Card and her husband David, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank Waltonwood Lake Boone and Transitions Hospice for the help and exceptional care Teresa received.
A mass of christian burial with reception to follow for Teresa will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Rd, Cary, NC 27513.
