Timothy Ray Martin

Timmy lived in Raleigh before moving to Tarboro on October 20, 2011. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul Chester Martin and Rachel Gurley Martin. Timmy worked at the Workshop for the Handicap in Raleigh for many years. In his younger years he enjoyed, shooting basketball and nailing nails into wood while wearing his hard hat and tool belt.

He is survived by his devoted brother Paul Michael "Mike" Martin; cousin, Kay Powell (Robert) of Mount Olive; cousins and caregivers, Rebecca Coker, Naomi Coker, Sallie Denny and Frances Liverman of Tarboro.

The family is very grateful for the care and love he received at the Bridges of Hendricks Creek. Also, thanks go out to Pruitt Hospice for the care they provided.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, officiated by Robert Powell. The family will receive visitors prior to the service, beginning at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in Raleigh Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Timmy's memory to the Bridges of Hendricks Creek, Atte: Life Enrichment Coordinator, 3210 Western Blvd., Tarboro, N.C. 27886.
