

Born March 7, 1927 in Walston, Pennsylvania to the late Maria Grace and Frank DeBiase, Vincent was the youngest of nine children. At 16 years of age, he joined the United States Navy where he served in the Pacific during World War II. After the completion of the war, he returned to Yonkers, New York and joined Burroughs Wellcome. In 1970, Vincent relocated to Greenville, North Carolina, where he eventually climbed the ranks to Department Head. In his 43 years with Burroughs Wellcome, he developed countless friendships within the company. Upon retiring, he enjoyed frequent retiree gatherings where he could reminisce with former co-workers and friends.
Anchored by his unwavering faith, Vincent was a devout parishioner of Saint Gabriel's Catholic Church in Greenville, NC and later Saint Raphael's in Raleigh. He was recognized as an accomplished golfer who once caddied for Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson, & Babe Ruth. Also, he was an enthusiastic gardener, former Little League Coach, and talented cook. Within his family, he was best known as a faithful and loving husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He cherished time spent with family and looked forward to regular family reunions in Nags Head, North Carolina.
Vincent is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nina Grantmyre DeBiase; daughter, Jamie DeBiase Stroud and husband, Scott of Raleigh, NC; son, Vincent Al DeBiase and wife, Laura of Fremont, NC; grandchildren, Camden and Kylie Stroud; sisters, Clara Gentile of Georgia, Rose Kosar of Mahopac, NY, Theresa Minieri of Brick, NJ; and other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Frank, Joseph, Vincent, and sister, Angie.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Liberty Private Care Services & Hospice and Blue Ridge Healthcare Center of Raleigh who assisted in his care.
A private service and interment will be held at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Family visitation is being held at the family's home in Raleigh.
