

Vivi Rydhof Miller, 84, passed away on January 29, 2026 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Born on September 11th, 1941 in Copenhagen, Denmark; she was the daughter of the late Rudolf and Birte Marie Hansen.
As a child, she lived through the German occupation of her home country until it was liberated in 1945. She married a US serviceman stationed in Germany in 1959 and emigrated to the United States in 1960. She became a US citizen in 1967 and moved to Raleigh, North Carolina. She worked for Raleigh ENT then Bank of America for many years before retiring.
She is survived by her siblings Inge & her husband John, Peter & his wife Anna Greta; her children David & his wife Deborah, Ashley, Linda, and Elizabeth; her grandchildren Jeffrey II & his wife Rebecca, Marcus, Scott & his wife Sam, and Lauren; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Jeffrey III, Valerie, and Russell Alan. She was preceded in death by her sister Edel, and her grandchildren Spenser and Alan.
Vivi (known as “Nannie” to her loved ones) was an avid gardener and had a love for all things in nature.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow the horse-drawn caisson to Raleigh Memorial Park.
