William graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School in 1959. He was a member of Pilot Baptist Church. William worked for Rockwell International as a tool fabricator. He was an avid fisherman and was happiest on the water. His greatest joy was spending time around family.
He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Joyce Patton.
William leaves behind his daughter Linda (Patton) Fisher and her husband Tommy, grandchildren: Stephen Browde and his wife Mary Beth, Sandy Brouse and her husband Jim, Ara Fisher, Al Fisher, and Thomas Fisher; and two great grandchildren, Ava Browde and Jimmy Brouse.
A time of visitation will be held Monday, January 11, 2016 from 4-6 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary's St. Raleigh, NC 27605.
