He spent over 40 years at Wachovia Bank & Trust where he served as Senior Vice-President, and many will remember him as a mentor and friend. Bill had a strong belief in giving back to the community and actively participated in many civic, professional, and educational organizations, including the NC Bankers Association, the American Cancer Society, the Loaves and Fishes Ministry, the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC, and the Sphinx Club of Raleigh. He loved his family and friends and was an active participant in all of their community events.
