

She was born July 3, 1936, in Morgantown, West Virginia, to parents Robert Harold and Janet Lee (Mayle) Collins. Joan was a licensed cosmetologist, and retired from Kathy’s Custom Hair Care in Akron. She was a member of the Maplewood Christian Church. Joan enjoyed crafts, ceramics and painting. She also loved her cat, “Babe.” Joan will fondly be remembered for her conversations.
She is survived by her loving husband James Ray Hall, daughters: Kim (Paul) Dudley, Kathy (Byron) Alloway, and Kristy (Jack Moats) Rumer, as well as her 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Joan’s memory will also be cherished by her step-children: Dan (Char) Hall, Diana Finnemore, Debbie (Ben) Sewall, and Mike (Connie) Hall, along with her loving step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Elizabeth Rumer.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Walter Robert Rumer.
Friends will be received Thursday, February 18, 2016, from 3:00 – 4:30 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with Pastor Ken Warren officiating the funeral service at 4:30 PM. Private burial will take place at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown, West Virginia.
