She was born May 22, 1938, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Walter and Mariane (Tschumy) Plaskonka. Carol graduated from Atwater High School and worked for many years as a nurse’s assistant, before transferring to the dietary department at Robinson Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, making many afghan blankets to give as gifts to family and friends.
Carol is survived by her sisters Iris Valasek and Karen Diskes, along with generations of loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Waggoner, and her brother Dave Plaskonka.
A memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Bill Johnson at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the Friendship Bible Church in Randolph. Final resting place will be Grandview Memorial Park.
