

Cary was born on February 21, 1948, in Berea, Ohio to Richard Hunter Bonham and Betty Lou (Ballard) Bonham. He was a 1966 graduate of Olmsted Falls High School where he played football and made many lifelong friends.
Cary retired as an electrician from General Motors in Brook Park Ohio, where he worked from 1967 until he retired in 1998. He also worked as a volunteer firefighter in Olmsted Falls for many years.
He loved Golf and was a Registered PGA Professional. He enjoyed teaching golf lessons at Windmill Golf Center in Macedonia. Cary coached the Twinsburg High School girls golf team and worked with the St. Rita’s golf program. In addition, he previously taught golf in Florida and at Grantwood GC. He was proud of this accomplishment and enjoyed fostering others growth and development in golf.
Cary is survived by his son, Brett Bonham. Surviving also is the mother of his children, Jean Bonham, his siblings Ted (Pattie) Bonham, Rick (Nancy) Bonham, Judy (Rick) Heston, John (Maureen) Bonham, Susan Haney and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sadelle Bonham and his son Jeff Bonham.
A memorial service will be held at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, Ohio, at 11am on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
