Chong Cha Metzgar

She was born January 7, 1941, in South Korea, and moved to the United States over 45 years ago. Chong was a talented seamstress and retired from Euclid Garment. Even though she worked at least one full time job, she was always a loving wife and mother. Later, she found much joy in spending time with her grandchildren. Chong enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and was a member of the Ravenna Senior Citizens Club.

Survivors include her daughters: Stella Metzgar and Mary Metzgar both of Ravenna; grandchildren: Brittany Metzgar of Brimfield, Charity Davis of Ravenna, Tara Davis of West Virginia, Kaden Holloway of Brimfield, and Nicole Janis of Deerfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband David E. Metzgar, her son Jerry Lee Metzgar, and her grandson Joseph Davis.

Friends will be received Thursday, August 5, 2010, from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM funeral service at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville.
