

Born in Atmore, Alabama on June 12, 1940, the son of Raphael and Leona Jackson. Crawford was retired after 20 years of service from the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Airforce Reserves where he had been an aircraft technician and master mechanic working on F-4 jets and C-130 cargo planes. He was the kind of man that would do anything for anybody and not ask anything in return. Crawford enjoyed wintering in Florida with his wife Maxine and loved all sports, especially basketball.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maxine Jackson and his sons: Kevin (Vina) Jackson and Chris (Nicole) Jackson. Surviving also are grandchildren: Christopher Jackson, Chantel (John) Fontenot, Cedric Jackson, Monique Jackson and great-grandson John “Fitz” Fontenot. Left also to cherish his memory is his daughter-in-law Bow, two siblings and many loving nieces and nephews.
Crawford was preceded in death by his parents, his son Raphael “Ray” Jackson and three siblings.
Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 11:00am until the funeral service at 1:00pm officiated by Pastor A. Carven Smith-Walker. Interment with full military honors will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
