He was born December 27, 1949, in Akron, Ohio, to parents Harry Lee and Mary Elizabeth (Moss) Crowder. Dale graduated from Waterloo High School in 1968. He went on to proudly serve his country as a veteran of the US Army in the Vietnam War.
Dale was a member of the Kent American Legion and the Patriot Guard. He enjoyed riding his Harley every chance he had. Dale will fondly be remembered for his sense of humor and his heart of gold. He was always willing to help others.
Dale is survived by his daughters: Shelly Waltz and Brandy (Adam) White, his grandchildren: Cody Yannis, Charles (Zoie) Yannis, Ariel Oberholtzer, Gabrielle Oberholtzer, Christina White, and Adam White Jr., as well as his great-grandchildren: Oliver, Brody, Rosco, and Jaxon, and his sisters Janet (Duane) Eisentraut and Linda (Ron) Wills, along with several nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his niece Darlene Eisentraut Fisher.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM with a funeral service officiated by Pastor David Ballert at 6:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Final resting place will be the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in the summer.
