He was born September 28, 1960, in Ravenna, Ohio, a son of Leo J. and Nita “Susie” (Burkey) Lewis, Jr. Boone was a member of the Independent Truckers Association and an independent driver with Quality Carriers since 1994. He enjoyed farming, especially if it involved one of his John Deere Tractors.
Family was most important to Boone, and he cherished the time spent with his loved ones. Survivors include his daughters: Kassidy (Tim) Parbel and Jessica Lewis both of Paris Twp; longtime companion Linda Avolio, and her son Devin Rosenberg and granddaughter Madison Anthony; parents Leo and Susie Lewis Jr. of North Benton; brothers: Leo Lewis III of North Benton and Vernon (Linda) Lewis of Tampa, FL; sister Wendy S. Lewis of South Euclid; as well as his grandchildren: Timothy M. Parbel, Isabelle G. Goodnite.
Friends will be received Friday, December 23, 2011, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Reverend Bobby Mix will officiate the funeral service immediately following calling hours at 7:00 PM.
