He was born April 4, 1941, in Ravenna, Ohio, a son of the late Roy and Helen (Crane) Hostetler. David was also preceded in death by his brother Glen and sister Naomi.
He is survived by his wife Hallie, son John, and several nieces and nephews. David was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from RB&W in Kent. He farmed for many years in Randolph.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be officiated by Pastor David Ballert at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 23, 2012, at the Hillside Cemetery Chapel in Randolph.
