David was born on November 11, 1953 to the late William James and Nancy May (Lane) Oscar in Mill Point, W.Va. David loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was known as “MacGyver” as he could practically build and fix anything. David was also very handy with plumbing and electrical needs. He enjoyed casino trips with his family and was a true family man.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Charlotte (McCourt) Oscar and his son Jonathan Oscar. David is also survived by his brother Junior Lee Oscar of Frankfort, W.Va. and two sisters: Peggy Jane (Bill) Albert of Warren, Ohio and Rosemary Taylor of Warren, Ohio. Many nieces and nephews will also miss his presence in their lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Per his wishes, cremation is being honored and inurnment at West Cemetery in Palmyra will be held at a later date.
