He was born June 11, 1941, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, to parents Robert and Eleanor (Howe) Shabino. David graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1959, and later from Hammel Business School in Akron. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 1996, and was an active member of the Rootstown Lions Club for 55 years.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Mary Evelyn (Bingham) Shabino, his son Steven Shabino of Hudson, grandsons: Ben and Spencer Shabino of Hudson, sister Joanne (Dick) Green of Cuyahoga Falls, sister-in-law Beth (Kenny) Epling of Stockport, OH, as well as his nieces and nephews: Erin (Dane) Ferber of New Jersey, Chris Green of Texas, and Alison (Bill) Nadvornik of Columbus, OH, and his great-nephew Logan Ferber of New Jersey.
David’s wishes for cremation are being honored. Friends and family will be received Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM with a memorial service officiated by Pastor Vince Maltempi at 2:00 PM at Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna.
