David proudly served his country as a decorated combat veteran of the US Army of the 101st Airborne in the Vietnam War. He later became a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), and VFW Post 1055.
David worked for many years at Konica Minolta before becoming self-employed in construction. Always happy to be occupied with projects, his well-rounded talents from carpentry to electrical skills kept him busy with beautiful improvements to his historic home.
Dave was a passionate gardener; his family and friends were often on the receiving end of the bounties of his gardening skills. He is survived by his extraordinary canned and pickled goods, sauces and salsas. He was a huge lover of music with good old rock n’ roll being his genre of choice. Most of all, Dave cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, of which he had many – he turned strangers to friends quickly with his generosity and humor.
David is survived by his beloved wife Constance (Shreve Hickman) Teeters, who he married August 18th 2018. He is also survived by his son Ryan David Teeters, his granddaughter Katelin Marie Teeters, his brother Jim Teeters, and stepson Zane Shreve Hickman. David was preceded in death by his son Jonathan Aaron Teeters, parents, sister Cheryl “Dee-Dee” Egan, and brother Tom Teeters.
David’s wishes for cremation are being honored and he will be laid to rest at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors. There will be a celebration of his life for family and friends to attend at Mulligan Springs Golf Course in Mogadore on June 22, 2022, between 3 and 8pm. Condolences and fond memories may be shared at https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/ravenna-oh/david-teeters-10770307. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in David’s memory to the DAV or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
