Doris Virginia Hamilton

She was born September 27, 1928, in Ravenna, Ohio, daughter of the late Benson and Luelva (Hedgar) Jones. Virginia was devoted to her family and a member of the Randolph United Methodist Church. She was a clerk with the Portage County Board of Elections, a member of the Ladies Cemetery Association, and a 60 year member of the Randolph Fair Board.

She is survived by her six sons: Andrew (Sandy Suber) Hamilton of Randolph, Gary (Diane) Hamilton of East Troy, WI, Larry (Sandra) Hamilton of Belmont, NC, Robert (Jody) Hamilton of Randolph, David Hamilton of Randolph, and Jeff (Ann) Hamilton of Randolph. Virginia also leaves her grandchildren to cherish her memory: Mark (Erin) Hamilton, Jennie (Quentin) Cowdrey, Daniel (Sarah) Hamilton, Jason (Vanessa) Hamilton, Christopher Hamilton, Justin Hamilton, Kelly Hamilton, Melinda (Fred) Furr, Dawn (Brian Kuzniak) Hamilton, Ashley Hamilton, Stephanie (Ron) England, Sarah (Alex) Madrid, Kurtis Hamilton, and Amanda Hamilton; as well as her great-grandchildren: Nolan Hamilton, Morgan and Julia Cowdrey, Aidan and Madison Hamilton, Massimo Furr, Rachael, Nicholas, and Veronica England, and Lilianna Madrid.

Virginia was preceded in death by Paul Hamilton and her grandson Michael Hamilton.

Friends will be received Sunday, July 17, 2011, from 5-8 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Visitation will also be held on Monday from 10-11 AM at the Randolph United Methodist Church, 4078 Waterloo Rd., Randolph. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Karen Drotar at 11:00 AM on Monday at the church. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
