Doris Jean McFarlan

Born in Hopedale, Ohio on July 31, 1928, the daughter of R. Clem and Florence (Tope) Henderson, sister of Walter Jay.

Doris graduated in 1946 from Hopedale High School. She was a kind, loving and supportive mother and grandmother who enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, playing cards and was an avid cross-word puzzler. Doris was an excellent baker, famous for her chocolate chip cookies and always kept plenty on hand for those unexpected drop-in friends needing a cookie fix!

Doris is survived by her children: Ken (Catherine) Vickie, Barb Trocheck, and Don (Donna). Surviving also are her grandchildren: Morgan (Seth Long), Jillian, Carley, Max, Shauna, and great-grandson Christian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and husband William L. McFarlan.

Friends and family will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 10:30am until the 11:30am funeral service officiated by Pastor David Ballert. Final resting place will be West Cemetery in Palmyra.
