Edward was born in Ansted, West Virginia on August 2, 1956 to parents Joseph E. and Helen L. Ellison. Edward had been an auto mechanic in the area for 43 years, most recently working at Haasz Auto Mall in Ravenna. He was a very Christian person who had a lot of faith in God. He loved his dog and was an avid coon hunter and gold prospector. Edward was a friend to everyone and would do anything for anybody.
Edward is survived by his wife Mary (nee Gibson) Ellison and his children: Tandy (James) Dempsey, Sherri Coy, Oliver (Tracie) Ellison, Christopher Ford, Mary (Katie) Ford, Justin Ford, Keith Cutlip, Brent Cutlip and Yvonne (Eric) Arnholt. He also leaves his 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Surviving also are his siblings: William (Frances) Ellison, Bobby (Phyllis) Ellison, Freda Bostic, Mary Skaggs, James (Kathy) Ellison, Ruth (Frank) Underwood, Christine (Walter) Backus and Glen Ellison.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Sunday, April 12th from 1:00PM until 3:00PM. Funeral services and burial will take place in Ansted, W.Va. next week.
