Edwin "Jack" Edwards

He was born August 27, 1934, in Churchville, Maryland, a son of the late Emmit B. and Sally Rae (Shepherd) Edwards. Jack was a truck driver with Yellow Freight Company and retired 14 years ago. He was a veteran of the US Army and member of the Ravenna American Legion Post 331 and Ravenna VFW Post 1055, where he was a member of the Honor Guard. Jack was also a member of several other organizations, including the Eagles, Moose, and Italian American Society.

He is survived by his children: Rodney Edwards, Mike Edwards, Patti Snyder, and Jeff Lee; grandchildren: Allison, Michael, Breanna, Corban, Steven, Devin, Lauren, Jamie, Kristen, Julia, Jordan, Daniel, and April.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Lee) Edwards, his sons Rick Edwards and Danny Lee, daughter Julie Lee, and brothers Barry, Robert, and Tommy Edwards.

Friends will be received Monday, July 25, 2011, from 5-8 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Jody Hill at 11:00 AM on Tuesday. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park with full military honors.
