Florence Ruth Kovach

Surrounded by her family and friends, Florence Ruth Kovach passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Select Care Hospital in Akron, Ohio.

She was 71 years old, born in Fairmont, W. Va. on January 7, 1944, the daughter of John and Pearl Weaver and beloved sister to Judith Brown of Fairmont, W.Va., and John W. Weaver of Worthington, W.Va.

Ruth shared a loving marriage with her husband of 52 years, John M. Kovach in Rootstown, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, John and her beloved children: Monica Dorsey, John M. (Betty) Kovach Jr., Jennifer (Cliff Klatik) Kovach and Melissa (Jovan Calhoun) Kovach. Also surviving are beloved grandchildren: Elicia Woodall, Ricky (Brandon Collier) Dorsey, Stephanie Dorsey, Misty Dorsey, Steven Henderson, Darshan Saunders; beloved great-grandson Xavier Bell and beloved best friends Jennifer & Roe Gerrick.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Retta Fletcher.

Ruth was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Ravenna, served as a former member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Peter of the Fields Church and was an avid bingo player. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Ruth leaves behind many loving memories with her family and friends.

Friends will be received at the Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna, on Saturday, February 7th from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. William Kraynak. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
