

She was born November 30, 1925, in Pomeroy, Ohio, to Clarence and Tressa (Hicks) Owens. Frances was a devoted wife and daughter, loving mother, and proud grandmother. She was a well-known seamstress, having made many wedding and bridesmaid dresses, and was quite artistic as well. Her crafts included paints, quilting, crocheting, ceramics, and woodworking. She will be remembered for her singing, yodeling, and dancing. Throughout her life, she maintained an optimism, good humor and tenacity that inspired those around her.
She was a nurse’s aide at Robinson Memorial Hospital, an instructor for Artex paints and also worked at the Woolen Mills and A.C. Williams. Frances volunteered for many years as a Boy Scout Den Mother.
Frances is survived by her children: Roy (Miriam) Kellison Jr., Nadine Loudin, Raymon (Connie) Kellison; grandchildren: Curtis Kellison, Roy Kellison III, Charles Loudin Jr., Ciarra (Nathan) Brunn, Zachary Loudin, Raymon Kellison Jr., and Katie Bess. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her dear husband of 60 years, Roy B. Kellison Sr., on December 1, 2009. Also preceding her were her parents, son-in-law Charlie Loudin, and great-grandson Cody.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with Minister Danny Peyton officiating the funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
